Try making spiral shapes by wrapping your pipe cleaner around a pencil or similar. Glue the pipe cleaners in place with Sticky Base using your fingers – or use a glue gun

They stick easily into polystyrene pieces or figures shaped from Silk Clay without the need for glue.
